What is Blog Catalog, How to Submit Your Blog to Blog catalog ?

Firstly we are going to discuss what is blog catalog ?

Blog catalog – As the name suggest Blog catalog is defined as the catalog of blog or we can say it’s a fastest growing directory of blog, a network of world bloggers where they connect, share ideas. Submitting your blog to Blog catalog gives you many benefits such as faster indexing of your site, 2^nd and the most important is that after submitting your blog to Blog catalog, if they approve you, your blog will be listed in their directory, which in turn provides a wide traffic to your site.

Getting your blog approved from Blog catalog is not an easy task as they posses some criteria which our blog has to fulfill in terms of getting approval such as quality of content, minimum no of posts etc

All blogs submitted to us are placed in a queue for approval. Every blog is reviewed by one of our staff members and put through a series of tests. If your blog meets the following criteria, you will be added to our system and begin enjoying the awesomeness of BC.

 

Your blog must

• Be a blog (see below)

• Not have pop-up ads

• Not have pop-under ads

• Be verified (next step)

• Have at least 10 posts

• Have unique content (we check)

• Not be adult only content

• Have value to readers

 

What they consider a blog

A website with its main purpose being regular posts about a topic. Posts can be video, photos, text, audio, or a combination of these elements. We currently decide on a case by case basis if an account from the following platforms is an acceptable blog: friedeggs, vimeo, and youtube

   NOTE: Before submitting your blog with them, you must enable your blog's RSS auto discovery. Kindly go through the below article.

   1.    Firstly Signup for a Account with them at www.blogcatalog.com.

  

   2.    Then Signin to it using your Id and Password.

   3.    Go to footer section of the page and click on ‘submit your blog’.

5.    Fill the form regarding your blog details, select personal  journal and click on ‘submit  blog’.

  

   
   
   
   
 6.    Now you will be directed to pro service page, at last of the page you will find ‘No thanks, just take me to my blog’, click on it.

  

   
   7.    Now you have submitted your Blog.

Next step is to verify your Blog, For verifications they will provide you with options such as addition of link, metatag or gadget.
