How to Create a Full Backup of Blogger (Blogspot) Blog ?

Creating a blog backup is an essential part of blogging, specially when you are blogging at Blogger. Blogger provides you with everything what you will need to start i.e. a best professional looking blog. Blogger is providing you with everything such as full template customization, widgets, free hosting and much more. There are much more plus points of blogger but you know no one is perfect and hence it had got some minus points also. The most common negative point is that the whole control of your blog goes in the hands of Google. So, if you lacks in following their guidelines, they will definitely going to remove your blog.


So, what we will need is to backup our blogger blog at regular intervals for protecting our contents from being removed by them. I have written my previous article on

Creating a full backup of your Blogger blog contains 2 parts.
   
              (1)   Backing up your template.
              (2)   Backing up your contents.

Backing up your template

Backing up your template is necessary from many aspects as because if you have done a lot of customization on it, and suddenly you see that something went wrong, you can install your previous template in just one click. So, let’s start the tutorial.
   
              (1)   Go to your Blogger blog dashboard.
              (2)   Click on ‘Template’.
              (3)   Click on ‘Backup/Restore’ tab on top right corner.


              (4)   Select ‘Download full template’.


              (5)   Save the file in your hard drive.

Backing up your contents

Backing up your contents is the most important part of blog backup. So that in case if you have lost your blog, you can instantly upload your full posts in your new blog whether it’s blogger, wordpress or some other platform. It’s very simple, you have to just create a blogger export file and it’s done. Let’s see how?
   
              (1)   Go to your blog’s dashboard.
              (2)   Then go to ‘Settings’ and then ‘Other’.
              (3)   Then click on ‘Export blog’ under ‘Blog Tools’.


              (4)   Click on ‘Download Blog’.


              (5)   Save this file in your hard drive.

It is advised that you should backup your Blogger blog at regular intervals to be in play safe mode.
