We have always talked on different topics regarding Backlinks in SEO category of this blog. We have understood backlinks, their definitions, types and other major details which are important with respect to SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Now today we are going to discuss different Backlinks checker tools which are available online.

Why we need backlink checker tools ? 

 Answer to the above question is very simple as we need these tools to know the quantity and quality of backlinks which we have build, From quality, I mean to say that whether we have build good links or spammy bad links. Though Google demoted the importance of backlinks and added other parameters for ranking a webpage after different updates but still backlinks are considered as an important aspect of SEO as it is very useful for better page and keyword rankings.Please go through below post, if you are new to this.

Note:- All these online backlinks checker tools doesn’t show all exact number of backlinks to you but by using them you can get a rough idea about backlinks on your blog.

   

   (1)   Google Webmaster Tools:- First of all the best way to check your backlinks is Google Webmaster Tools, Just logon to your Google Webmaster account and select your site, whose backlinks you want to see. Then go to ‘traffic’ tab and select ‘links to your site’. You will get details on your backlinks showing ‘who links the most’.  Google will not show you all the backlinks but shows only what it considers important.

Now let’s see other best backlinks checker tools available online excluding Google Webmaster Tools. 

Although a large number of online backlinks checker tools are available over internet but I’ll enlist only the best tools or you can say which have worked for me in the best possible manner.

  

   (1)   Small SEO Tools:- Small SEO tools works best for my new blog as other backlink checker tools which are listed below doesn’t show or even show ‘NIL’ or ‘0’ backlinks in their result but Small SEO Tools works great and shows ‘101’ backlinks for my new blog with 24 post only. SO, i’ll suggest it for newbie bloggers.(Note:- Wait till it’s hompage gets loaded completely.)

  

   (2)   Open Site Explorer:- Of other sites which I have listed here ‘open site explorer’ is my favorite because not only it shows good result about backlinks but there is a option to compare between two or more, upto five domains simultaneously. It works best and gives more detailed report if you have premium or paid SEOMOZ account but the free version is not bad to start, just enter url’s and start comparisons between you and your compititors. 

  

   

   (3)    Analyze Backlinks:- Analyze Backlinks gives good result, It posses an ad free clean homepage and provides us with several options such as don’t repeat, links from homepage, anchor text etc. Just enter your domain (ex-bloglution.com without www) and click on begin.

  

   

   (4)   Backlinks  Watch:- Backlinks Watch is another popular tool available over internet for checking backlinks. It stood no 1 when you search ‘backlink checker tools’ in google. Though it posses some popup ads but  provides us with good result. Just enter your site’s full url including http:// and click ‘check backlinks’, and you are done.

   

   

   (5)   Ahref’s site explorer andbacklink checker:- Ahref’s is another best online backlink checker tool which you can use, it gives 3 trials per day for unregistered user. After registration as free user you can check multiple times and check different details. You can upgrade your free account to premium by choosing your monthly plan. As a free user you cannot access full data but limited only which is not bad at all to start with.
